projectile motion
hey could i get help with this please? A stone is projected at a cliff of height h with initial speed 42m/s at angle 60 degrees to horizontal. stone A lands after 5.5 secs at height 52 m. The max height reached is 68m. How do I find the speed of the stone just before impact? Thankyou so much in adva...

Pulse
When a pulse travels towards the right of a string, why is the f(x0) = f(x' - vt) ? why is it negative?
with x0 being position at t = 0 and x' being position at t = t
Thankyou
with x0 being position at t = 0 and x' being position at t = t
Thankyou

For simple harmonic motion, if object 0.5kg is attached to a spring with force constant 8 n/m vibrates with SHM at amplitude 10cm with w(omega)=4; calculate time for object to move from x = 8.00cm to x = 0 cm. For this the explanation was explained using a x versus t cos graph in which the time for ...

In the equation
v = -A*w*sin(wt + phi )
why must sin(wt+ phi) be = -1 to obtain maximum value of v ?
is there other ways of finding max of v if k = 8n/m, amplitude = 0.1m, and m = 0.5kg?
thankyou
