Welcome to Physics Questions

A forum set up for physics questions from students in the courses PHYS1121, 1131, 1221 and 1331 at the University of New South Wales. It is intended for questions that cannot readily be answered in class,
either because they fall outside the main syllabus and therefore would be distraction (however interesting) or for other reasons.

Welcome to Physics Questions

This forum was set up for physics questions from students at the University of New South Wales. It is intended for questions that cannot readily be answered in class, either because they fall outside the main syllabus and therefore would be a distraction (however interesting) or for other reasons. The moderators are Richard Newbury and Joe Wolfe, on the Physics staff.

It is not for questions that relate directly to the course material: these should be raised with your teacher, because they are (probably) of general interest. You could do this in person or on the course web sites.

Feel free to answer questions yourselves. If the questions get too involved, we may refer you to text books. (If they're too tricky, we may send them to more expert colleagues!) And if you are more interested in questions that only tangentially relate to physics, PHYSOC (the physics student society) has a forum at http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/bbs/viewforum.php?f=5
